Responsibilities

This Senior-level position supports the Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3) and participates as a team member serving as a Cyber Intelligence Analyst. The candidate will expertly apply intelligence analysis skills to monitor, assess, and report on adversary cyberspace operations, capabilities, vulnerabilities, and personalities that could pose a threat to Department of Defense (DoD) critical assets, the DoD Information Network (DoDIN), Defense Industrial Base (DIB) networks and supports the Intelligence Community (IC), Interagency and federal law enforcement and counterintelligence (LE/CI) agencies missions. The candidate will review, identify gaps, recommend solutions, and evaluate large datasets from various sources; develop operational and intelligence reports, fused intelligence products, presentations, and briefings for senior US government officials; and mentor other mid-level analysts and junior staff.

 

The candidate will work as an expert in the field, researching and evaluating technical and all-source intelligence with specific emphasis on cyber threat intelligence, network operations, and cyber warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) focused on threats to networked weapons platforms and US and DoD information networks. The candidate will analyze threat data derived to determine the impact on current operations and conduct all-source research to determine advisory capability and intent; prepare multi-source products and assessments, cyber threat profiles of current events based on the sophisticated collection, and produce intelligence reporting based on research, and analysis of multi-source classified and open-source derived publicly available information (PAI). The candidate will determine procedures to meet changing requirements, ensure maximum operations, and collect data using a combination of standard intelligence methods and business processes. 

Qualifications

  • Education: 8 years with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; 3 years with PhD.
  • Clearance: TS/SCI with CI Poly eligibility.
  • Experience providing integrated cyber and intelligence analysis, advanced analytics, and data science to support national security, criminal, cyber, and CI investigations and operations is required.
  • Possess expertise in using IC databases, analytical tool suites, and commercial tool suite applications to analyze classified and OSINT data and conduct advanced PAI research. 
  • Possess expert knowledge and application of Counterintelligence/Human Intelligence (CI/HUMINT) tradecraft and reporting. 
  • Possess knowledge of network and application protocols, cyber vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques, and cyber threat/adversary methodologies (TTPs).
  • Possess familiarity with all-source analytical tools suites standard to the IC.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of cyber threat intelligence analysis and security architecture and experience in intelligence-driven defense and Cyber Kill Chain methodologies.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluency in either Japanese or Chinese Mandarin (desired but not required).
  • Experience in gathering, analyzing, correlating, or evaluating information from various resources, such as law enforcement databases.
  • Possess current Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Open Source Intelligence (GOSI) Certification, or SANS SEC487 Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) Gathering and Analysis course.
  • Experience with Law Enforcement/Counterintelligence (LE/CI) Operations and/or Cyberspace Operations.
  • Possess demonstrated experience briefing Senior Executive Service (SES) and General Officer/Flag Officer (GO/FO) leadership.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
