We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join our Architecture & Security team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in this field and will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our security standards, and best practices on cloud architectures. You will work closely with our development and DevOps teams to integrate security into every aspect of our systems and processes.

This profile will report to the Security Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Developing security standards and best practices to safeguard our networks and systems.
  • Building and maintaining security networks and systems to protect against threats.
  • Recommending security enhancements to management based on industry best practices and emerging threats.
  • Ensuring the correct installation and configuration of new security systems.
  • Improving systems in response to security incidents or vulnerabilities.
  • Testing security solutions to identify weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
  • Being part of an incident response team to quickly address security breaches or incidents.
  • Developing programs to automate vulnerability detection and response processes.

Requirements

What you have 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining security standards and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security protocols, and encryption techniques.
  • Strong understanding of IAM principles and authentication standards.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with security testing tools and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Relevant certifications such as CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
