Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert

Seeking qualified candidates for the role of Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert to support of the United States Air Force Command and Control (C2) Security Control Assessor (SCA).  The C2 SCA provides security assessments and authorization recommendations of USAF systems within the C2 portfolio to the C2 Authorization Official (AO).

About the Role: You will help distinguish our company with professionalism, best practices and deliverables that build customer loyalty. Among the responsibilities of the role are:

  • Performs as the Senior Technical SME in area of Cyber Security to the SCA
  • Provide advice and strategic leadership on complex systems engineering, architecture, organizational, digital transformation, agile software development and cybersecurity implementation.
  • Provide strategic direction on implementation of RMF across the product/system lifecycle.
  • Support cybersecurity of Air Force networks that hosts various applications
  • Review vulnerability and risk assessments of current and future networks
  • Perform key cybersecurity analyses and use technical risk management principles to assess applications and systems
  • Review documentation to ensure that established security requirements are adequately addressed and sustained
  • Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes leading to successful Authority to Operate (ATO) decisions
  • Provide ATO recommendations to Security Control Assessor (SCA) and Authorizing Official (AO)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility at hire is desired.

Experience with DoD and USAF systems

The ideal candidate will have skills and experience with one or more of the following:

  • Cyber Security Risk Assessment
  • System verification, validation and test
  • COTS integration
  • System integration
  • Software Assurance
  • IaaS/PaaS/SaaS
  • DevSecOps/agile
  • software applications
  • cloud (AWS, Azure, e.g.)
  • virtual machines (VMware, e.g.)
  • containers (Kubernetes, e.g.)
  • Work well under pressure with differing levels of Management
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and communications
  • Exposure to other network monitoring systems and IT Service Management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Work, Excel, PowerPoint)

5% travel may be required.
