Who we're looking for

We are looking for a natural collaborator and leader with a strong passion for problem solving, data and the drive to take our Security compliance function to the next level. Your job as a Manager of Security Compliance is to deeply understand the current state audit processes, metrics, information architecture and gaps within the Zendesk Security team and add new business capabilities.

You'll also be in charge of supporting the Security audit and compliance process for all of Zendesk’s existing compliance frameworks and our global sanctions screening (regulatory OFAC). This role reports to the Senior Director of Security GRC, and will be a key player in the overall dynamics of the Zendesk Trust & Security organization.

What you'll be doing

• Develop a strong partnership across the different Security teams to thoroughly understand the team’s business strategy and operational objectives.

• Improve business and operational efficiency by developing, automating, and maintaining scalable processes, tools, and dashboards.

• Be a strong advocate of Security GRC processes across common control framework, risk register, data integrations, management, and visualizations; and be available to mentor the team.

• Oversee multitude of end-to-end external audits (SOC2, SOX, ISO, PCI, FedRamp, etc.) which includes audit planning & strategy, remediation and reporting of audit metrics.

• Ensure we see continued growth of the external audit project management function into more than just a project manager of external audits.

• Ensure we comply with OFAC checks for the global sanctions process (for vendors, banks, partners, resellers, customers and prospects) including integrating our M&A entities.

What you bring to the role

Basic Qualifications:

• Motivated self-starter who works exceptionally well in an unstructured environment with light supervision.

• Great teammate with excellent relationship building and phenomenal communication skills.

• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with an ability to translate internal stakeholder needs into both business and technical requirements.

• A knack for identifying and investigating anomalies in data & coming up with creative solutions.

• Proven track record in establishing Security compliance program from the ground up and a minimum of 5 years experience driving and overseeing end-to-end external audits.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field e.g., math, statistics, engineering, economics, finance, computer science preferred.

• Previous experience in Security, Risk management, Engineering or R&D is highly preferred (within the software/SaaS industry an added plus).

• Basic knowledge of data visualization tools is a bonus.

This role must attend our BGC, Taguig City office on a weekly basis for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
