We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Engineer who will lead our Snapdocs Cybersecurity Program. As part of the Snapdocs Cybersecurity organization, you will be reporting directly to the Head of Security. This role will drive the adoption of key security initiatives with our internal teams in order to mitigate any risks and to provide secure technical solutions for any security issues discovered. The Staff Security Engineer that is selected for this role will be primarily responsible for; architecting and guiding the implementation of Cybersecurity solutions within the Snapdocs environment, as well as, mitigating cyber threats targeting Snapdocs, Customers, and our Partners. You will participate in cross team and organizational projects, designing, documenting and managing security-based solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for security evaluations, security designs, and upkeep of documentation related to security solutions for public, and private Snapdocs assets within the network
  • Build and maintain our cloud and endpoint monitoring feeds into our security information and event monitoring (SIEM) system
  • Manage Snapdoc’s relationship with an outsourced Managed Detection and Response (MDR) team who provides Level 1-2 response.  
  • Serve as primary escalation point for Snapdocs security issues, and answers routine technical questions; recommends and implements approved course of action
  • Perform risk analysis & create mitigation strategies for continuous evaluation and validation or system design and architecture
  • Ability to design, build, and execute automation frameworks for deployment of Cloud Environments (based on CloudFormation templates, Terraform, CLI, others)
  • Design, test, implement and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions
  • Evaluate and advise on security considerations of organizational tools, design controls to mitigate risks posed by these tools as needed
  • Participate on the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) and provide rotating on-call response coverage

Our ideal candidate will have spent the past 5+ years in security architecture, design and implementation. You have a deep understanding of security principals including encryptions and authentication. You will have worked with securing corporate and public cloud (AWS) endpoints. You have experience with NIST 800-53 control frameworks. This role will work across the business to provide guidance for the company's security posture so it will require a high level of professionalism and great communication skills. We are a fully remote team today so any experience working with distributed teams will be beneficial. Bonus points if you have any security certifications or have prior SaaS experience.

If you are located in NY, CA, WA or MA, the salary range for this role is $170,200.00 - $230,200.00. For all other locations, the range is $148,900.00 - $201,500.00. As a new hire, your starting salary will likely be between the 25th percentile and the midpoint of the range; however, all offers are based on the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications.
