Data Privacy Consultant

Job Summary: 

The Data Privacy Consultant will be responsible for ensuring that sales and digital marketing strategies and practices are in compliance with local, national and global privacy regulations. This role will work closely with the sales, marketing and development teams to develop, implement, and maintain strategies that align with organizational goals with respect to data privacy requirements, expectations of customers, prospects and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure all sales and digital marketing activities comply with international privacy laws and regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, etc.

2. Develop and implement governance procedures and playbooks  for digital marketing campaigns and initiatives.

3. Participate in  training sessions and materials for the sales and marketing team on privacy matters and the impact of privacy laws on sales and marketing activities.

4. Conduct privacy impact assessments on technologies used by sales and marketing to collect and process personal data.

5. Work with third-party vendors to ensure their practices align with our privacy standards, providing recommendations to vendors and the business on how best to implement new tools and technologies to stay compliant.

6. Partner with the digital marketing team and developers ensuring new web pages, modules, analytics platforms, tools and third-party technology have appropriate privacy reviews and data mapping documentation.

7. Conduct scans and audit of company website and cookies, pixels and other tracking technologies used or deployed by a third party to ensure that the website is responding to privacy preferences and is only dropping cookies that have been approved by Rubrik. 

8. Stay abreast of changes in privacy legislation and advise on necessary adjustments to digital marketing strategies and practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Law, or related field.

• Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), OneTrust certified or similar certification is preferred.

• Experience with cookie consent management platforms and website scanning tools

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a privacy role, preferably within a digital marketing or advertising context.

• Strong understanding of global privacy laws and digital marketing practices.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
