Position Overview:
Trust, Security, and Accountability are cornerstones of everything we do at Welocalize. A critical thought leader on the Welocalize AI leadership team, the Director of Ecosystem Security & Intelligence role is tasked with defining and evolving our strategy around all aspects of online security, threat modeling, and fraud intelligence.

This role will drive the acceleration of foundational areas that ensure strategic fraud risk mitigation, operational efficiency, and experimental iteration, and ensure continuous and data-driven improvements to our fraud prevention and management strategy, efficacy, experience, and cost.
Experience in regulatory compliance, bad actor programs, threat modeling, and fraud risk management and/or investigations is highly desirable.
Key responsibilities:
- Accountability for the definition and evolution of Welocalize AI’s online security and intelligence program.- Manage cross-functional resources to develop and maintain rules, machine learning models, and data sources that ensure quick identification of fraud attacks and customer impacts.- Analyze trends and identify areas of risk and potential solutions.- Monitor fraud activity and respond quickly to any suspicious activity.- Develop and implement effective processes and procedures for fraud prevention.- Oversee the investigation of suspected fraudulent activities, including analyzing transactional data, conducting interviews, and gathering evidence.- Utilize robust analytics and data-driven strategies to build and optimize fraud rules and strategies for banking products.- Oversee the identification, analysis, and calibration of software and other tools to reduce fraud risk.- Collaborate with internal departments, such as [Corporate Information Security, Product, and Operations], to enhance fraud prevention and detection strategies.- Develop, attract, and retain talent; recommend staffing levels required to carry out the unit’s role and responsibilities effectively. - Advise on new business initiatives, new products, acquisitions, and client/transaction-related escalations.- Use data analysis to monitor the effectiveness of fraud risk-driven strategies and promptly recommend refinements as necessary.- Develop and maintain fraud risk indicators, key performance indicators (KPIs), and metrics to measure the effectiveness of fraud prevention measures.- This position must assess relevant risks industry trends, regulatory guidance, and best practices, and continuously improve processes to proactively meet changing financial crime threats.
Experience and Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, cybersecurity, intelligence studies, or a related field or equivalent work experience. - Extensive experience (7-10+ years) in cybersecurity, information security, or intelligence analysis, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibility.- Experience in threat intelligence analysis, security operations, incident response, risk management, and security architecture.- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems, cloud computing, and emerging technologies.- Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms, open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools, and data analysis techniques.- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, mentor, and lead teams of threat modeling professionals.- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives, board members, and regulators.- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing security strategies, policies, and procedures.- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex security threats, trends, and vulnerabilities.- Strategic thinking and the ability to develop long-term security and intelligence strategies aligned with business objectives.- Experience working in regulated industries such as Legal Services and Life Sciences would be beneficial.

Welocalize carefully considers a wide range of compensation variables including geographic location, job scope and complexity, skill level, experience, or industry-specific knowledge. Compensation will be mutually agreed upon at offer and may be above the posted range due to compensation variables.
