Department Info

Terumo EMEA Information Systems department operating from Haasrode, Belgium, provides supporting services in Information & Communication Technology (ICT) to Terumo internal and external customers on an EMEA base. ICT is a key function in the Terumo EMEA (TE) organization and subject to extensive rulings and audits. A lot of ICT work is outsourced to external service providers that require close follow up.

Job Summary

We are looking for an ICT Security Engineer who will work together with our outsourcing partners. Your primary duties will include the day to day follow-up of ICT security related matters like the management of incidents, changes & projects in very close collaboration within the Terumo Europe security team.
You will work closely with the end-users when security related topics are reported. Additionally, you will keep technical documentation regarding ICT security up-to-date.

This position is hybrid, with a 50% presence in our Terumo Europe HQ, in Haasrode near Leuven. We only accept applications from candidates that are legally entitled to work in Belgium and having fixed residency. 
 

Job Responsibilities

ICT Security

• Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information.
• Follow up of the security mailbox to monitor suspicious reported emails, internal and external threat intelligence feeds and perform necessary actions to investigate and eliminate the threat.
• Categorize and classify relevant security events & incidents and triggers internal procedures if required.
• Actively participate in security projects to assure that the implementation is according to security best practices.
• You will discuss with project teams about the risks associated to their projects, as well as the best ways to mitigate them to be compliant with both regulatory asnd security requirements.
• Ensure that the company knows as much as possible and as quickly as possible about security incidents.
• Participate in audits and reviews of security related information.
• Work with security and privacy functions to develop corporate policies.
• Contribute to defining and implementing information security roadmap.
• Contribute to the development of technical information security policies, processes, standards and guidelines and supporting awareness materials.
• Perform IT security audits and risk assessments as applicable.
• Ensure that TE Complies with the latest regulations and compliance requirements
• Stay up with the latest cybersecurity threats and trends

Internal Terumo EMEA Communication

• Communicate complex ICT security issues in terms clearly understood by technical and non-technical audiences.
• Constantly look for ICT security improvements.
   

Profile Description

•    Basic level knowledge and working experience in a variety of Information Technology disciplines/technologies to include: Security LAN/WAN/SD-WAN, Network Servers & Personal Computers.
•    Knowledge of existing network infrastructure & multi service provider architecture
•    Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, …
•    Knowledge of various infrastructure domains like hosting, Cloud, Storage & access management etc.
•    Must be self-motivated, self-directed and independent thinking yet team player. 
•    Comfortable interacting with individuals/groups at various organizational levels.
•    Bachelor or master’s degree, preferably in IT or equal experience
•    Have strong interpersonal skills and you can communicate at all levels.
•    An enthusiastic and passionate professional.

•    Well organized
•    Good working knowledge of Dutch and English (written and spoken). Other languages are an advantage.
