What will you do?

 

We are looking for a Security Specialist to be part of cybersecurity team based in Poland, having a global impact on security aspects in IT projects of varied nature, including cloud-based.

 

As a Security Specialist, you will primarily focus on advising and consulting on internal IT projects, conducting risk assessments, ensuring secure infrastructure, modern architecture and best security practices being in place. This role will require knowledge on fundamental security principles and you will be expected to apply them in particular implementations in GFT’s IT systems.

 

For the position we need a passionate specialist who will be keen to keep updated on the latest security threats and cutting-edge technologies (i.e. Azure or Google cloud).

 

This role requires presence  in one of our offices: Lodz, Warsaw, Krakow or Poznan 3-4 times per month.

 

 

Main job tasks and responsibilities:

 

  • Designing IT security architecture, minimum controls and countermeasures for new and existing IT systems within GFT IT landscape.
  • Advising on how to reflect general security principles in the particular technical solutions and build re-useable security architecture patterns.
  • Conducting risk assessments and evaluations, allowing IT stakeholders to take appropriate decisions on security posture of GFT’s IT systems.
  • Developing cybersecurity standards for Azure cloud services.
  • Providing technical advisory to internal IT teams to follow best security practices.
  • Support internal IT teams in implementing security requirements security good practices.
  • Contributing to proof-of-concepts on cybersecurity solutions, to strengthen cyber resilience in GFT globally.
  • Researching for the latest security threats (incl. Azure cloud) and providing the solutions or workarounds to mitigate risks threaten GFT globally.

 

 

Required Skills:

 

  • A Bachelor in Computer Science or similar.
  • At least 2 years of experience in IT required.
  • At least 1 years of experience in IT Security required.
  • Good English written/verbal communication skills (B2+).
  • Being familiar with the essential security concepts: CIA triad, Separation-of-duties, Least privilege, Need-to-know, Defence-in-depth, Open-design, authentication (AuthN), authorization (AuthZ), security “at-rest” and “in-trasit”.
  • At least basic architectural knowledge on Azure cloud services and concepts.
  • Knowledge on authentication protocols (oAuth, SAML, basic auth) and API security.
  • Understanding of security domains: risk management, security architecture, communications and network security, identity and access management, security assessment and testing.
  • At least basic and theoretical knowledge on one of the security solutions: SIEM/SOAR, DLP, IAM, EDR/XDR, PAM; hands-on experience one of those would be of a great advantage.
  • Good understanding of the primitives of cryptography and key management best practices.
  • Problem solver, not a trouble maker definitely needed.
  • Being able to work with many tasks assigned at the same time.
