In the capacity of the Secure Government Sector Engagement Lead and reporting directly to the Director for Secure Government, this role assumes a pivotal position in closing the divide between the Delivery and Consulting practices within the organisation.
Functioning as an essential link, the Secure Government Sector Engagement Lead acts as a core member of bid teams, contributing valuable insights and expertise to ensure the seamless integration of delivery and consulting efforts.
The individual in this role plays a critical part in fostering collaboration between these distinct functions, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation's projects. Furthermore, the Secure Government Sector Engagement Lead is tasked with proactively seeking opportunities to expand and grow the account.
This involves not only the meticulous coordination of bid activities but also a strategic approach towards cultivating client relationships and identifying avenues for account development.
Job Description
Due to the nature of the client engagements this role will require above UK Security Clearance (SC).

As the Secure Government Sector Engagement Lead, you will provide strategic leadership in customer engagements alongside practice expertise.
Key responsibilities of the role are summarised below:
● Maintain a good working knowledge of the UK National Security sector, preferably with actual industry or relevant experience
● Contribute to and implement targeted account plans, working collaboratively with other members of the Defence and Central Government Client Groups, Consulting and Delivery practices and relevant functions
● Shape opportunities to align with company capabilities and lead the development of compelling proposals, including ensuring priced proposals follow the appropriate review and approvals process and that we comply with all client confidentiality and ethical wall requirements
● Execute strategic and tactical business development initiatives while working with key stakeholders
● Lead a team of consultants on client site and ensure all deliveries are to a high standard, within budget and demonstrably meet and exceed the client need
● Manage client stakeholders to ensure that client expectations are met and that high levels of client satisfaction are achieved, working alongside the delivery and consulting teams to expand beyond the first win
● Be the internal coordinator supporting complex contract negotiations and complex business requirements and activities which deliver results
● Be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of a project and ensuring alignment to the agreed contractual outcomes
● Define a roadmap of client opportunities that directly aligns to strategy and realises business goals
● Define and negotiate project scope
● Contribute to the development of their recognised profession, supporting the individual Consulting Directors in developing customer aligned go-to-market propositions and contribute to the company knowledge pool in terms of sales best practice
● Deliver to recognised 6point6 methodologies and contribute to their improvement
● Contribute to the development of case studies, presentations and events in support of marketing activities in order to raise the profile of our organisation.
● Contribute to the delivery of high-quality outputs for bids and projects, delegating responsibility to appropriate owners to ensure that client expectations are met and that high levels of client satisfaction are achieved
● Collaborate with peers and staff within a matrix organisation particularly the Client Group, Consulting Directors and Delivery Leads
● Contribute to the review and development of company strategy, business and account plans
● Engender company values, contributing to the development as a great place to work
● Excellent written and verbal communications, experience of government bid writing a bonus
●Must be able to articulate business value and technical approaches
Qualifications
You will have sector specific experience in a client facing consulting role and considerable senior experience in at least one of the following disciplines - Cyber Security, Data, Architecture, Engineering or Delivery.
You will be able to lead complex client engagements acting as the trusted advisor, bringing in specific experts as required.
You will build deep stakeholder relationships with clients and identify opportunities that will directly benefit the client.
You will maintain a relationship with the internal 6point6 practice teams to ensure alignment to our methodologies and to evolve current service offerings in line with customer demand.

Whilst having experience in a consultancy is beneficial, demonstrable experience in working with clients/external partners in other settings will always be considered.
