Crystal Dynamics is seeking a Cyber Security Systems Administrator to strengthen our defense mechanisms against the rapidly changing cyber threats in our industry. This crucial role involves contributing significantly to the design, implementation, and management of security measures that protect our IT infrastructure, systems, and data against unauthorized access, breaches, and other cyber risks. By identifying vulnerabilities, formulating strategies to address them, and ensuring the resilience of our digital assets, you'll play a key role in preserving the integrity of our studio's information and maintaining the trust of our users and stakeholders through the highest data security standards.

As a Cyber Security Systems Administrator, you will:

  • Work collaboratively with the IT Director, Cyber Director, and IT Leadership to align our security tools, processes, and standards with our comprehensive cyber risk strategy.
  • Work closely with IT staff on security implementation, ensuring adherence to best practices, validating security configurations, and supporting the testing and validation of internal security controls for essential infrastructure tools such as firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPSs), Web Application Firewalls (WAFs), and anti-malware/endpoint protection systems.
  • Investigate any cyber incidents in partnership with the IT department.
  • Keep a detailed record of all monitored systems, infrastructure, and applications to ensure extensive visibility and protection.
  • Regularly review the cybersecurity landscape for emerging technologies, tools, and services, advising on choices that support both security and business goals.
  • Create and lead cybersecurity awareness training initiatives to bolster our organization's security culture and resilience.
  • Analyze gains and losses while demonstrating flexibility in decision-making, recognizing instances where benefits outweigh risks and warrant proceeding.
  • Effectively manage and prioritize tasks, taking ownership of responsibilities, and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.

To be considered for this role, we require the following:

  • Experience in IT security positions, such as Systems Administrator or Cyber Security Specialist, with expertise in security tools like Microsoft Defender.
  • Skill in identifying vulnerabilities and implementing countermeasures, along with managing IAM systems for secure access.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure components (applications, OS, databases, networks, storage) for thorough security assessments.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take initiative.

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks like NIST, ISO, or CIS.

It'll be a bonus if you also have:

  • Previous experience in the gaming industry.

The pay range for this role includes the annual base salary, not including bonus and the generous benefits package that Crystal Dynamics provides all full-time employees. Individual compensation is determined by work location within our approved states or regions, as well as additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education.

Your recruiter will be able to share more information about total compensation.

Pay Range (United States)$115,000—$130,000 USD
