Cyber Security Intern

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and analyzing security events and alerts to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of security controls and tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software.
• Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
• Help develop and update security policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Contribute to incident response efforts by investigating security incidents, documenting findings, and recommending corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to raise awareness of security best practices and promote a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.
• Stay current on emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and trends through continuous learning and training opportunities.
• Assist in other cyber security-related tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements

• Pursuing or successfully completed a Cyber / Information Security Diploma from Ngee Ann Polytechnic or Singapore Polytechnic, or Cyber / Information Security Bachelor Degree from National University Singapore.
• Able to commit for a 6-month duration, or longer.
• Strong interest in Cyber Security, Computer Science and related fields.
