Position Overview:   

The Entrust Digital Security Professional Services Americas division maintains a technical services team that provide the full range of post sales field services supporting the sale of Entrust solutions across the region. Entrust worldwide has an excellent reputation for the quality of its technical expertise and Entrust Americas is firmly committed to maintaining this reputation.  Entrust Digital Security provides solutions to customers across vertical markets based on Public Key Infrastructure(PKI), Identity & Authentication, and Data Protection Solutions (DPS).

The Professional Services Consultant role is a highly dynamic, challenging role that covers the full lifecycle of post sales technical activities.

 

The Professional Services Consultant prides himself/herself/themself on being highly technical; keeps current on Entrust solutions; has a willingness to continually learn and train; is extremely flexible and adaptable; communicates effectively with colleagues, partners and customers; and enjoys traveling sometimes on short notice. This role has significant direct interaction with our customers; thus, excellent customer-facing skills and an appreciation of the commercial sales environment are essential. The Professional Services Consultant uses their advanced cryptographic technical skills to create competitive advantage for Entrust sales teams, create added value for Entrust customers, and develop Entrust intellectual property.

 

This position reports to the Professional Services Senior Manager, Digital Security Americas region. The position is open for candidates located in the Eastern United States (for remote candidates) or at any U.S.-based Entrust office.

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist Customer staff in deployment and installation of Entrust products, with initial focus on general-purpose nShield Hardware Security Module (HSM), software-based KeyControl Secrets Vault platform and Microsoft PKI.

  • Effectively balance competing priorities across customer engagements and internal KPIs

  • Facilitate the successful resolution of Customer deployment issues through effective use of the Entrust Support or our Professional Services teams.

  • Attend meetings to understand the Customer’s requirements and provide the Customer with development and deployment options and provide informal knowledge transfer for Entrust products.

  • Research existing infrastructure and functionality, hardware, software and third-party products, and provide architectural guidance specific to future business and technical needs, product utilization and disaster recovery.

  • Participation in project delivery including management of internal and customer deliverables.

  • Ensures that Customer’s needs have been met and that the product/solution is fully functioning according to pre-agreed specification.

  • Provide formal product training on customer premises or remotely.

  • Identify business maturity improvements for Professional Services or other Entrust areas including developing training content, services delivery documentation, and process improvements.

  • Effectively collaborate and openly share technical knowledge & best practices with Entrust colleagues.

  

Qualifications: 

Basic Qualifications  

  • Excellent English written, oral, and presentation skills to effectively, professionally communicate complex technical concepts across a wide array of engineer-level through senior management customers, partners, and Entrust colleagues.

  • Demonstrated self-starter that can act independently, including working from home and alone on client sites, and collaborate effectively within a team.

  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of time primarily in the United States but also possibly Canada and South America, as business dictates.

  • Familiarity with cryptographic concepts, PKI, digital signature, digital certificates and data communications.

  • Solid working knowledge of Linux and Microsoft operating systems.

  • Solid working knowledge of VMware vSphere and related VMware solutions.

  • Familiarity with nShield HSMs or similar.

  • Computer hardware and software troubleshooting experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar program

  • Minimum of 3+ years experience as a Professional Services Consultant, or similar role, in areas of information security technology and processes, specifically cryptography, hardware security modules, PKI/digital certificates, and/or cybersecurity.

  • Current valid computer security certification such as Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker, or CISSP.

  • Experience with Entrust Digital Security Solutions: Certificate Authority, nShield HSMs, Identity Enterprise, KeyControl, DataControl, and/or CloudControl.

  • Authentication protocols (SAML 2.0, Oauth 2.0, Open ID Connect) and concepts (2FA, Federation).  

  • Bilingual – Spanish/French.
