We have an opening for a full-time, permanent Cybersecurity Project Coordinator to join our talented, dynamic team in support of a large Federal Government customer.     

The Cybersecurity Project Coordinator will play a pivotal role in our team's success on a large Federal Government SOC contract for the Department of Veteran's Affairs. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing various Cybersecurity Incident Response (CIR) related tasks and initiatives, ensuring seamless operations, and supporting the CIR Task Lead in achieving mission goals. This role requires a strong understanding of project coordination, excellent communication skills, and the ability to keep resources organized and focused on what matters.

Duties

In this role, a typical day will include: 

  •  Team Onboarding Support: Facilitate employee onboarding and offboarding to the CIR task, track required trainings, and get people access to the tools and resources they require
  • Deliverable Tracking and Submission: Collaborate with internal teams to track CIR project deliverables, ensure their timely completion, and facilitate their submission according to contract requirements
  • Risk and Issue Management: Work with team to identify risks and issues and maintain tools used to monitor and track progress
  • Task Knowledge and Documentation Management: Manage and maintain a repository of task-related documents, templates, SOPs, and reference materials. Ensure easy access and efficient knowledge sharing among team members
  • Task Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams working on the task. Facilitate information flow, resolve issues, and promote a cohesive working environment
  • Task Status Reporting: Help to prepare regular status reports, providing insights into project progress, key milestones, risks, and mitigations. Help present reports to the leadership and stakeholders as needed
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency enhancements, and best practices in task management. Implement improvements to streamline workflows and increase overall project effectiveness

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher  
  • 3+ years of experience in project coordination, preferably within Federal Government IT contracts
  • Program and project management certifications are a plus (CAPM, PMP, CSM, CSPO, SP, SSM, etc.)  
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, task tracking and coordination, and project reporting requirements
  • Proficient with program/project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft SharePoint, Planner, Project, and Teams
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills 
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills 
  • Strong people skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team of peers
