Senior Consultant, Cybersecurity - GRC Architecture - Chennai,India

Our Cybersecurity Architecture team works diligently to protect NielsenIQ’s data center and cloud components from cyber-attacks. We are driving a global security strategy through technology leader partnership, continuously evolving our security systems designs, analyzing industry frameworks and standards to drive more meaningful security outcomes, and actively searching for ways to drive more cohesive security capability delivery across our global estate.

As a Sr. Cybersecurity Consultant in Architecture, you will assess, plan, and enact security measures to protect our organization from threats and attacks on its computer networks and systems. This role contributes to Cybersecurity Architecture design input, assesses cloud native services, contributes to platform and project security needs, and partners with other security teams to measure and improve NielsenIQ’s global security posture.

Responsibilities 

  • Delivers scalable, resilient, and secure solutions based on best practices, security industry frameworks, and architecture as code concepts.
  • Provides advisory services to enterprise, cloud, and solution architects to build solutions that adhere to NielsenIQ security requirements.
  • Partners with security engineering, operations, and GRC functions to provide guidance on security designs, integrations, policies, standards, and guidelines, working to make security requirements clear and accessible to the enterprise.
  • Leverages best of breed tools to create automation flows to assist in documenting, tracking, and addressing architectural security work.
  • Creates valuable relationships with security teams and stakeholders to describe what good looks like, set successful expectations, and build security competency.
  • Provides security context for escalated cybersecurity incidents to aid in rapid resolution.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to develop dashboards and reports to meet their cybersecurity information requirements.
  • Performs risk assessments, threat modeling, and security architecture reviews for complex online environments with large user populations for internal and external customers.  Evaluates new security solutions that align with NielsenIQ business needs and strategic direction.
  • Designs security configuration policies and baselines for information technology devices and systems which provide mechanisms for assessing compliance with the guidelines.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of cybersecurity architecture experience. 
  • 3+ years of experience in a role with security accountability in a matrixed organization. 
  • 3+ years of experience designing and delivering security solutions utilizing a mixture of cloud and on-premises technologies across a broad array of security disciplines. 
  • Ability to operate in a constantly evolving environment to make tough decisions and enact change in the face of ambiguity.
  • Innate curiosity, strong problem-solving skills, and a drive for simplification and automation.  Active contribution and participation in industry programs and events.
