Why this role matters:

Vonage is now part of Ericsson and together Vonage and Ericsson are developing innovative products to Imagine Possible. The Senior Security Architect will report to the VP of Information Security and will be responsible for understanding the product & engineering requirements, design, and implementation of solutions. This role will allow you to work with departmental subject matter experts, solutions architects, product/program managers to develop the CFIUS security and compliance controls that are critical to the implementation and launch of the products.

Where you will work:

Flex Worker - You will have home based days, but can be required to commute to the office for collaboration, customer meetings and presentations up to 3 days a week (exact days to be agreed with your line manager).

What you will do:

The Senior Security Architect will be responsible for understanding how the product and the development teams are implementing the application, understanding the deployment architecture, and be able to review it from a security and operational integrity perspective to develop design documents with an emphasis on CFIUS security and compliance controls that will be implemented and/or adhered to by the product. This includes:

  • Work locally, virtually, and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Create security and compliance solutions based on interviews with subject matter experts
  • Develop scope and plan for providing documentation materials designed to fit specific knowledge needs
  • Participate in and/or leads internal meetings and activities
  • Perform projects and duties as assigned in support of department goals and objectives. Examples of these would include but not be limited to participation in focus workgroups; attend implementation calls; and collaboration with Engineering, Operations and PMO to ensure business need is met
  • Monitor changes to applications and technology to ensure content is accurate and current

What you will bring:

Required

  • Master’s degree (or Bachelor’s degree with commensurate experience) in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields
  • 10+ years of experience with 3+ years of experience as a senior engineer or senior architect  
  • Proven project management, technical writing, and content management experience 
  • Working in a fast paced environment and being accountable for the quality and timeliness of work
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
  • Establish the trust of, and develop a strong working partnership with, senior network and software developers and architects from across the company
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of AWS; GCP is a plus
  • Knowledge of API, Web Application, Identity and Access Management, Container (EKS, ECS, etc.), other modern cloud native technologies

Desirable

  • Experience with writing detailed documentation for compliance and audits
  • Experience working with technical writers
