Job Description

AECOM Markham is hiring a Physical & IT Security Manager for their growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, assess, and develop physical security program plans, execute threat and vulnerability risk assessment, developing risk profiles and proposing security enhancement features and guidelines, for public transit systems, and other infrastructure projects, in compliance with industry standards.
  • Coordinate and integrate the physical security requirements, challenges and solutions with other similar programs developed by other interfacing organizations and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with clients and different stakeholders to collect evidence, track, and close vulnerabilities, as well as provide support for system design requirement change management process.
  • Support chief security officer in day-to-day management of the physical security program and presenting the security program findings and assessments to various stakeholders.
  • Train and coach junior staff, who are engaged in the security program.
  • In addition to performing a key role in developing the physical security program for transit projects, the candidate needs to provide support to other System Assurance team projects, related to quality, safety review and audit.
  • The candidate may be required to work from client sites and offices across the Greater Toronto Area.

 

    Qualifications

    Minimum:

    • Bachelor Degree in a relevant technical discipline: engineering, information technology, etc. + 6 years of experience in security OR Technical College Diploma + 8 years of experience in security.
    • 6+ years experinece in development of Risk Management assessment in security (threat and vulnerability risk assessment)
    • 6+ years experience in at least two of the following three areas: 1) Facilities and Building security design, equipment procurement, security devices installation, and security systems operations, 2) Information Technology systems (upgrades and/or replacement projects) 3) Telecommunication and call centers operations (optimization and/or upgrades)
    • Being able to receive security clearance from the Government of Canada.
    • Having a valid driver’s license, and ability to travel to project sites across Ontario.

     

    Preferred:

    • 15+ years of experience in developing and conducting security assessments, for large corporations, in the areas of risk assessment, defining and assessing intrusion detection, electronic access, and video surveillance features and requirements.
    • Being a critical thinker, analytical, and problem solver, with ability to manage multiple tasks and effectively communicate and interact with a variety of clients with different levels of technical backgrounds.
    • Highly experienced in interacting with large industry clients and presenting the security program deliverables.
    • Work experience in different industries, and proven ability in developing security program business development and implementation in large organizations across different industries.
    • Having experience in Information Technology (IT) network systems and equipment functions and IT network architecture.
    • Have worked with public transit system designers, operators, or maintainers in congested metropolitan cities such as Toronto or Vancouver.
    • Having or being in the process of obtaining ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or an equivalent certificate.
