MS Engineer (L2) is responsible for providing a managed service to clients to ensure that their IT infrastructure and systems remain operational. Through the proactive monitoring, identifying, investigating and resolving of technical incidents and problems, the MS Engineer (L2) are able to restore service to clients. Their primary objective is to proactively review client requests or tickets and apply technical/process knowledge to resolve them without breaching service level agreement (SLA). The MS Engineer (L2) focuses on second line support for incidents and requests with medium level of complexity.

Working at NTT

• Implementation of complex service requests

• Creation of scripts for automated deployments

• Implementation of complex changes

• Change planning

• Change evaluation

• Configuration check (configurations prepared as part of a change)

• Check of configurations created by Local on-site staff

• Steering and coordination of NOS engineers

• Validation and check of work results from level 1 staff according to 4-eyes-principle

• Root cause analysis

• Problem management

• Cooperation in small projects

• User communication (call acceptance, status requests, collecting solution confirmation)

• Coordination and support of LOCAL staff

• Automated deployment of configurations via existing scripts (complete check everything works again) end ensuring all components and services are up and running after incident resolution and change execution

• Opening tickets manually based on monitoring events that did not create a ticket automatically

Skills Summary

Cisco Routers and Switches, Data Networking, IP Routing, Local Area Network (LAN), Routing Protocols, Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), Wireless Networks

What will make you a good fit for the role?

• At least 3 years working experience with networking technologies in the enterprise environment
• knowledge of Cisco Routing and Switching on CCNP level
• knowledge of Cisco ACI
• knowledge of Cisco Security Solutions including ISE, Firepower, ASA on CCNP level
• knowledge of F5 BIG-IP LTM, GTM and APM
• knowledge of Fortinet technoologies – Fortigate, Fortimanager, Fortiweb
• knowledge of Infoblox
• English language (written and spoken) - at least B2
• willingness to support 24x7 environment (shift rotation)

Certifications:

• required: CCNP R&S and/or Security certification
• nice to have:
• F5 (CTS LTM or CTS DNS)
• Fortinet (NSI 1 to 6 or NSI 6 to 8)
• InfoBlox (Advanced or Expert)
