Position Title: Sr. Cybersecurity Specialist

Location: Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City, FL

Position Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $135,000 - $150,000

Security Clearance Requirement: Position requires active security clearance

Certification Requirements:

• CISSP
• Microsoft - SCI (Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals)
• Linux+

Years of Experience: 9+ years experience

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Sr. Cybersecurity specialist is seasoned cybersecurity leader with experience in managing cybersecurity risks, developing security policies, and working with diverse stakeholders. Has a strong working knowledge of the DoD Risk Management Framework and Information Assurance (IA) security compliance policies, programs, processes, and metrics.

• Evaluates new network management technologies and makes recommendations to project managers regarding the integration of these technologies into the existing network.

• Ability to analyze Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) requirements to determine
  applicability to existing systems.
• Familiarity with networked systems, maintaining a network switch, and remote updating of those
  systems.
• Familiarity with Comprehensive Information Technology Inventory (CITI) and making
  changes to that system.
• Framework (RMF) processes, ensuring secure and compliant operations for mission-critical applications.
• Coordinate compliance and remediation activities with program offices, application developers, system administrators, testers, security service providers, and multiple hosting enclaves.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Above listed certifications
• Position allows for the Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
  Certification and LINUX+ requirements to be fulfilled by completing the coursework in LinkedIn
  Learning and/or FedVTE and providing proof of each completed module

Required Skills:

• Proven leadership in managing cybersecurity risks, developing security policies, and working with diverse stakeholders to ensure mission success.
• Proven experience in RMF policy creation, risk assessments, and cybersecurity compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of RMF 2.0, FISMA, NIST publications, and DoD cybersecurity policies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with various stakeholders.
• Ability to conduct onsite visits and technical analysis, as required.
• Understanding of emerging technologies and their impact on cybersecurity.

Requirements

• TRAVEL POSSIBLE FOR POSITION UP TO 10% - Must be able to obtain or possess a valid US Passport and be physically qualified to support military exercises and contingency operations.
• Proven leadership in managing cybersecurity risks, developing security policies, and working with diverse stakeholders to ensure mission success.
• Proven experience in RMF policy creation, risk assessments, and cybersecurity compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of RMF 2.0, FISMA, NIST publications, and DoD cybersecurity policies.
• Strong active listening, data entry, and documentation skills.
• Willing to work in a 24x7x365 secured environment, demonstrate intuitive problem-solving skills, and allow for flexible scheduling.
