GARDP (Global Antibiotic Research and Development Partnership), a pioneering not-for-profit organization committed to fighting the global health threat of drug-resistant infections, is on the lookout for a Senior Consultant for US Engagement. This part-time consultancy opportunity offers the chance to play a pivotal role in shaping our engagement and resource mobilization efforts within the United States.

Your Role and Impact:

As our Senior Consultant for US Engagement, you will:

  • Develop a Strategy: Craft a comprehensive re-engagement and resource mobilization strategy targeting key stakeholders across the US, including government, NGO, and philanthropy sectors, as well as the media.
  • Lead with Influence: Spearhead the strategy's implementation in collaboration with GARDP's Director of External Relations and key staff, focusing on strengthening our mission against antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
  • Forge Key Partnerships: Establish and deepen relationships with influential stakeholders to secure future funding and enhance the US's role in the global AMR crisis.
  • Shape Our Future: Deliver on critical outputs such as a 12-month engagement strategy, an implementation plan, and insights on the impact of US elections on GARDP's strategic direction.

Requirements

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Experienced Leaders: 15-20 years in external affairs or resource mobilization, with a proven track record in fundraising.
  • Strategic Thinkers: Advanced degree holders with a deep understanding of global health, medical innovation, and access to medicines.
  • Collaborative Innovators: Individuals who excel in multicultural, multi-location settings and are committed to making an impact.

Location & Term:

  • Based in Washington, DC, with occasional travel. This consultancy spans approximately 60 days between April and December 2024.
