Job Description

Expectations :

• Solid experience configuring and troubleshooting routing and switched infrastructure (e.g. CCNA, CCNP Security) and security certifications highly desirable

• Experience in network security including: Device Hardening and patching, IDS/IPS, SIEM, IPS/IDS s,

• Vulnerability assessment and intrusion detection

• Understanding of controls (e.g. access control, auditing, authentication, encryption, integrity, physical security, and application security).

 

Responsibility :

• Manage Cisco Firepower IPS/IDS’ and network security systems by establishing and enforcing approved policies

• Analyse network security requirements and implement perimeter security changes.

• Utilizing industry best practices for security, disaster recovery, business continuity, change control, the engineer will design, configure, manage and troubleshoot a variety of network IPS/IDS technologies.

• Serve as a subject matter expert in coordinating and troubleshooting with customers, other infrastructure support activities and business units.

• Develop network documentation of security infrastructure

• Monitor network performance and implement performance tuning as necessary.

• Performs data backups and restoration of managed systems.

• Assist in the certification and accreditation process for managed systems and networks.

• Review daily logs for managed systems and report on unusual activity.

• Participate in the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) associated with managed systems and applications.

• Collaborate with IT staff on projects and initiatives.

• Provide input for a monthly progress and status report.

• Providing security engineering within a complex financial virtual infrastructure environment

• Infrastructure security based recovery

• Strong up-to-date knowledge of Cyber Security

• Responsible for providing all levels of support for tactical and strategic related issues related to information security systems and services

• Collaborate with product owners and engineering teams to ensure smooth transition of the Vulnerability Management technologies into production and ensure maximum visibility into a variety of environments

• Responsible for maintaining current versions of functionalities and technologies in production by effecting change management processes

• Proactively participate in compliance support activities such as trainings, audit prep, playbook authoring and ensure business as usual (BAU) activities are completed accurately and artifacts are produced as required

• Upgrade systems to enable security software

• Install and upgrade antivirus software

• Test and evaluate new technology

• Support and overview penetration testing

• Analyse IT requirements and provide objective advice on the use of IT security requirements

• Gather feedback from end-users to continue improving systems

• Support issues related to connectivity

• Maintain connectivity between DUO and anything it has to be connected to

• Support IT to register new token, clean up/reassign existing tokens.

• Provide support for application penetration remediation on CTM developed applications and systems.

• Work with associated IT teams to remedy identified vulnerability or recommend appropriate compensating controls.

• Perform security reviews and assist with management of file monitoring/UBA solutions.

• Perform security reviews and assist with management of file encryption solutions.

• Provide recommendations for improvements using established best Security practices.

• Assist with internal and external audits.

• Assist with reviews and audits for security controls.

• Triage and analysis of alerts.

• Establish maintain and monitor vulnerability scanning across all CTM networks.

Bachelor’s Degree

5 to 8 Years years of related experience in an IT support organization
