Job Responsibilities

As a Senior DevSecOps, you will:

  • Evaluate and analyze the existing IT infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement and security enhancement 
  • Design and implement secure, scalable, and automated cloud-based solutions on AWX to support application deployment and management 
  • Lead the implementation of DevSecOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and automated security testing, tailored for the AWS cloud environment 
  • Collaborate with software development teams to integrate security controls and best practices into the application development process 
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the security and availability of cloud-based infrastructure 
  • Manage the configuration and infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar, with a strong emphasis on security 
  • Conduct security assessments, vulnerability testing, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements 
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define and enforce security policies and access controls in the AWS environment 
  • Develop and maintain documentation for security processes, procedures, and configuration management 
  • Create and update applicable technical documentation 
  • Coach and mentor other team members 
  • Consult on best engineering practices, quality standards and principles 
  • Build full-stack automated quality - IaC, deployment, and monitoring and promote best practices for building and operating highly reliable systems, to our clients 
  • Analyze and implement configuration changes and assisting in the design of cloud related solutions to meet both functional and technical requirements 
  • Develop project schedules, product roadmaps, and implementation plans 
  • Manage work streams and coordinate resources across multiple development teams at a Platform level 
  • Gather and present metrics regarding project status to clients, technical leads, and CGS Program Manager 
  • Proactively develop and implement efficiency improvements that can be implemented in several areas 
  • Facilitate effective communication and establish risk and issue mitigation plans to promote project success 
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of documentation such as system requirements in a continuous testing and deployment environment 

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship Required  
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI Eligibility 
  • IAT Level II or equivalent 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics. 
  • Fifteen years’ experience in designing and implementing information management systems may substitute for academic degree. 
  • Ten years’ experience designing and implementing information management systems 
  • Three years within the past five years of experience in technical research and development that enables continuing innovation within the infrastructure  
  • Three years within the past five years of demonstrated experience in product development, to include direct control and responsibility over subordinate developers working the development of a web-based, as well as data intensive system. 
  • Three years within the past five years of experience with provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of software and infrastructure-as-code in a DevOps and/or continuous delivery environment using automated deployment and testing frameworks. 
  • Three years within the past five years of experience with commercial cloud service providers (Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure), containers, server-less architecture, micro-services, web services, and RESTful API design 
  • Knowledge of governance and establishing policies and procedures 
  • Ability to manage at a Platform level 
  • Hands-On Experience with Agile System Development methodologies 
  • Ability to prioritize and display a high level of adaptability/flexibility while handling job responsibilities 
  • Proficient in the use of tools and methods to efficiently manage product releases, sprints, and development cycles. 
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, think creatively/about the big picture, and dedicated (do-er) 

Desired Qualifications:

  • SAFe certification is a plus 
  • ServiceNow certification is a plus 
  • Army or Intel Community experience is a plus
