About the role:

Gartner is looking to hire a Senior Security Engineer (IAM) focused on stable, secure, and proactive management of the Identity service to on-premises and cloud services at scale in a rapidly growing environment. The role requires understanding of IAM services like User lifecycle management, Access Management, Multifactor authentication, IDAAS and SSO platforms and experience of developing automations for these services. which helps in the implementation and operations of the solutions to address identity challenges.

What you will do:

  • Automate the user lifecycle joiner, mover, and leaver workflows and birthright access.

  • Build Automations in AWS/Azure/Cloud using serverless technology, consuming services, API integrations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IAM solutions with existing infrastructure, applications, and workflows.

  • Stay updated on emerging IAM trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance security posture and streamline access management.

  • Create custom libraries and modules in PowerShell /Python

  • Develop solutions following secure SDLC framework and agile methodologies.

  • Proposes software and or configuration enhancements to adapt to changes in business requirements or to gain efficiencies through automation.

  • Create and maintain accurate documentation of technical requirements, designs, infrastructure, and support processes.

  • Participate and contribute to the short term and long-term roadmap initiatives.

What you will need:

Strong security engineer professional with 4-6 years experience of working on IT security projects in a fast-paced, time-bound environment.

Must have

  • Experience in Automating user lifecycle joiner, mover, and leaver workflows and birthright access.

  • Experience in one or more scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, dot net )

  • Experience of working with any of the cloud environments (AWS/AZURE).

  • Experience of leveraging APIs in automations.

  • Understanding of standard protocols and their working like LDAP, Kerberos, SAML, oAuth, OIDC.

  • Understanding of core IAM principals like least-privilege, just-in-time access, segregation of duties, multi factor authentication.

  • Familiar with design patterns to implement RBAC vs abac

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and Secure SDLC framework.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline-based deployments.

  • Familiarity with any of version control tools like git, bitbucket.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems or similar

  • Excellent communication and prioritization skills.

  • Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment.

  • Owns success – Takes responsibility for successful delivery of the solutions.

  • Strong desire to improve upon their skills in software development, frameworks, and technologies
