Job Scope:

  • Perform static code testing using our tools on company applications, review results and work with engineering to provide timely fixes.

  • Research, analyze, and track detected application vulnerabilities for compliance to RingCentral security requirements, controls, and expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

  • Must be a Sophomore/Junior Undergraduate

  • Should be quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment, ability to adapt to change and willingness to learn

  • Some familiarity with C/C++ or Java is helpful

  • Some familiarity with either JavaScript/NodeJS, PHP, or Python is helpful

  • Some familiarity with OWASP Top Ten vulnerabilities is helpful 

  • Prior experience with static (SAST) and dynamic code scanning (DAST) tools but is helpful not required. Training will be provided.

  • Utilizes critical thinking and analytical skills on a regular basis to complete tasks

  • Familiar in Microsoft office tools/programs, Google suite

Learning Skills/Outcomes:

  • Learn how to scan and analyze security reports for next steps

  • Learn how to verify the severity of security scan results

  • Understand the Security Development Lifecycle

  • Improve your ability to communicate project status and security findings

Availability:

  • Full-time [40 hours per week, 10 week internship]

  • Must be available to start June 11, 2024

  • Must be available to work on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office per week) in our Belmont, CA, or Charlotte, NC office

If you are hired in Colorado, California, Nevada, New York, Maryland, Washington, Connecticut, or Rhode Island, the hourly rate of compensation ranges between $28.00 and $30.00 per hour for contract employees. This rate may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.
