Responsibilities

Peraton seeks a Senior Security Control Assessor (SCA) with Cloud expertise to support the Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER) TWC with Engineering and Technical Advisory (ETA) services.  Location:  Fort Belvoir, VA ( Metro Park). 

 

In this role, you will provide Assessment and Authorization (A&A) for the ARCYBER cloud infrastructure for the Gabriel Nimbus (GN) Big Data Platform (BDP) and other ARCYBER cloud infrastructure that includes the following tasks:

 

• Execute security control assessment plan by using provided assessment procedures, collecting/analyzing evidence, and documenting steps taken and findings noted• Update the System Security Plan with actual control implementation measures determined during assessment• Develop Security Assessment Report for management staff providing residual risk statement, impact, and suggested corrective actions• Review vulnerability scans and Remediation• Implement risk management programs by utilizing NIST, FISMA, HIPAA, and PII• Document complex technology, data protection, confidentiality, and data residency solutions• Monitor the privacy landscape for regulatory changes surrounding data privacy, data protection, data confidentiality, data classification, and data residency• Assist clients with identifying gaps within existing privacy programs and designing solutions to help address those challenges

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.  Will consider:  HS+16 years

  • Must have strong EMASS and RMF with control validation experience.  Must know how RMF applies in a cloud environment.
  • Knowledge of enterprise solutions across multiple cloud operating environments (JWICS, SIPRNET, NIPRNET, and commercial Internet)
  • Familiar with Gabriel Nimbus Big Data Platform
  • Knowledge of the Security Assessment and Authorization process
  • Must be skilled in conducting security audits and developing mitigations to identified risks

  • Has conducted vulnerability assessments

  • Cloud Systems SCA background
  • Must hold IAM level III DoD 8570.01/ 8140 certification prior to beginning work
  • eMASS, ACAS, and ISC2 Certified Cloud Computing Professional (CCSP) or CompTIA Cloud+ experience
  • Active TS/SCI clearance, with the ability to obtain/maintain a polygraph

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of computer networking and/or cloud computing concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, to include knowledge of national and international laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity.
  • Knowledge of risk management framework processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk) as well as knowledge of specific operational impacts of cybersecurity lapses.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation).
  • Knowledge of IT and cloud computing security principles and methods (e.g., firewalls, demilitarized zones, encryption).
  • Knowledge of network and/or cloud computing environment security architecture concepts including topology, protocols, components, and principles (e.g., application of defense-in-depth)..
  • Knowledge of system and application security threats and vulnerabilities (e.g., buffer overflow, mobile code, cross-site scripting, Procedural Language/Structured Query Language [PL/SQL] and injections, race conditions, covert channel, replay, return-oriented attacks, malicious code).
  • Skill in determining how a security and/or cloud computing security system should work (including its resilience and dependability capabilities) and how changes in conditions, operations, or the environment will affect these outcomes.
  • Knowledge of Personal Identifiable Information (PII) data security standards.
  • Knowledge of Personal Health Information (PHI) data security standards.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
