The Network Services Engineer is a member of the Datacenter Network Services team that provides networking services to the Engineering Community. This team is responsible for designing, building, testing, deploying, and operating networks that service the Engineering Community. In EUC, we look to teeter on the cusp of bleeding edge networking while maintaining performance and reliability. This includes automating, provisioning, and on-going management of high-level networks for the community that is behind the drive and direction of EUC and its innovation. 

Responsibilities:

·       Build supported network vendor reference architectures in our Engineering DC environments 

·       Implement current and up to date automation techniques to facilitate establishment of these architectures 

·       Devise a plan and direction intended to utilize state of the art automation and deployment techniques to streamline network operations and automated self-service network requests 

·       Fully document working reference architectures implemented and the automation techniques used to build and operate them. 

·       Convert devised architectures into the designed and established orchestration engine. 

·       Collaborate with development and engineering teams on network operation automations supporting the designed architectures referencing the applicable vendor architecture. 

·       Remain current on major network and cloud vendor architectures and products. 

·       Execute on directed strategy, solving challenges in efficient and effective manner. 

Requirements:

·       CCIE level certification or equal knowledge in multiple network vendor/cloud technologies - route/switch - datacenter – security. 

·       10+ years in network engineering and design or network equipment design & development. 

·       Advanced knowledge of datacenter network architectures (EVPN, VXLAN, overlays). 

·       Advanced knowledge of inter-cloud / on-prem-cloud networking solutions and interconnectivity (Cloud Connect)

·       Advanced knowledge of SDN architectures and technologies (NSX-V/T). 

·       Experience with SD-WAN architectures (Cisco/Viptela, Versa, Velocloud, Silverpeak). 

·       Advanced knowledge of VMware products and cloud offerings. (vcenter, vsphere, VSAN, NSX, ESXi, vmware cloud, etc). 

·       Network Integration and orchestration experience between network technologies and automation using various engines/methodologies (ACI, DCNM, Ansible, Salt, RestAPI) 

·       Strong network scripting experience (Python-Perl and others) 

·       Strong interpersonal and communication skills
