Software: fuel for mobility

We bring bold digital visions to life. So we’re on the lookout for more curious and creative engineers who want to create change – one line of high-quality code at a time. Our transformation isn't for everyone, but if you're excited about solving the leading-edge technological challenges facing the auto industry, then let’s talk about your next move.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities include coordinating, planning, and implementing security measures in this new role within the unit. Acting as a liaison between various operations, you'll ensure adherence to security policies and guidelines. As a coordinator, you'll play a central role in safeguarding the organization's information systems against potential threats and attacks on computers, PLC systems, etc., in our rigs where we test and develop future cars.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal operations and external partners to ensure consistent security measures. Your responsibilities will include implementing preventive measures to enhance cybersecurity in our test rigs alongside onsite operators. You will leverage your expertise to provide technical support and maintenance for IT equipment in the field, while also configuring cybersecurity solutions to safeguard systems from cyber threats. Utilizing tools such as Defender for IoT and Qualys will be integral to your daily tasks. Additionally, you will analyze security risks, implement solutions, and ensure compliance with relevant security laws and regulations. Taking an active role in improving and developing our IT security, you will create guiding documents and stay updated on industry developments. Collaboration within the team and with external partners will be essential for success. You will closely collaborate with our information security coordinator and have the opportunity to lead smaller maintenance assignments independently, from the idea phase to implementation, and report your work in the maintenance system Maximo.

Your profile
We're seeking someone with a relevant higher education degree in areas such as IT or information security, or equivalent work experience. You should have previous experience working as an IT technician and practical experience in IT security, client management, and basic principles within the field. Fluent Swedish and English, both spoken and written, are required.

It's advantageous if you have training and certifications in information security and IT, as well as previous work experience with Microsoft's security software, Intune, Azure, and Windows Server. We see that you're accustomed to working in teams and have had roles where you've supported both customers and colleagues. You're a good listener, and responsive to the organization's needs.

We place great importance on you as a person. You're a dedicated team player but also independent when necessary. You enjoy solving problems and have strong analytical skills. You have high standards for quality and apply a structured approach with a strong focus on security. The work is event-driven and requires flexibility, so to thrive in the role, you must be open to change and adept at prioritizing.

Since the role is new, you'll have the opportunity to shape it together with your immediate manager. To fit in with us, we see that you're proactive, curious, driven, and structured in your work. If you have a genuine interest in technology and IT security and want to help shape the role of coordinator for Volvo Cars' IT security issues, we warmly welcome your application today.

Requirements

We're seeking candidates with post-secondary education in IT or information security, or equivalent practical experience, along with fluency in Swedish and English. A valid driver's license (B-körkort) is required. Desirable qualifications include several years of previous work experience in IT security and risk management, as well as a solid understanding of applications, systems, networks, and automation systems. If you're analytical, driven, forward-thinking, and possess a positive attitude, we encourage you to apply today and join our team dedicated to ensuring Volvo Cars' IT environment remains secure and efficient.
