The Security Administrator is responsible for assisting in the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the Global D365 platform (ERP and CRM).  This role includes interacting with both Microsoft Dynamics business analysts and business users to understand requirements, evaluating alternative solutions, resolving problems, issues, communicating status and documenting system changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and provision the user accounts and roles for multiple D365 applications across the enterprise.
    • Design, develop, test and monitor D365 security implementation
    • Develop, maintain and enforce security policies and procedures aligned with best practices for segregation of duties and lead other process improvement initiatives.
    • Translates business functional requirements into technical design for security roles
    • Microsoft Dynamics license optimization
  • Ensure that data in Dynamics is accurate and protected against unauthorized access
  • Assist with development and reporting efforts in Dynamics 365
    • Work with functional and technical teams to understand and gather requirements to design and develop modifications and extensions to Microsoft Dynamics.
    • Use of Microsoft Dynamics development and reporting tools to design, develop and test customizations, integrations, and reports.
    • Create requested documentation supporting system design, development, and testing
  • Participate in IT and cross-functional meetings to support staff and various team members to review upcoming Dynamic issues, items, and trainings. Address and resolve issues that team members inquire about.
  • Day to day management of support and user access requests, assess viability and collaborate with IT resources to determine solutions.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and recommend solutions to enhance organizational efficiency.

Minimum Requirements - Qualifications:

  • Three years of experience as a system and/or security administrator in AX/D365 with multiple ERP implementations (CRM is a plus)
    • Proven expertise in user authentication, user authorization and data security
    • Proven knowledge and experience with user roles and Security in AX / D365
    • Proven expertise customizing Microsoft Dynamics. Including 1+ years of development experience on AX 2012 and/or D365 with Microsoft Visual Studio (technical experience with .NET C#, X++ or other OOP programming language)
  • Understanding of Active directory including global security groups, local security, policies
  • Comprehensive understanding of Power Platform Admin Center
  • Experience working with the Microsoft Dynamics to manage user provisioning and identify segregation of duties and sensitive access violations
  • Experience collaborating with auditors to demonstrate compliance with internal and external standards.

It is beneficial to your application that you may have:

  • An understanding of the wider D365 Dynamics stack and it’s integration layer
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and it’s capabilities
  • Access management experience on other platforms
  • Experience in internal helpdesks, including KPI and SLA reporting

  • Strong customer relationship skills (The ability to obtain stakeholder buy-in and engage participants at all levels involved in discussions)
  • Ability to manage workload and time according to the tasks and deadlines set
  • Self-motivation and be driven to achieve professional success and be able to empower other members of the team to do the same

Desired Certifications:

  • Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012/D365 experience (certification is a plus)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (Applications), Engineering, Math, Science, Technology, or related field

Additional Information:

  • Ability to travel to client locations, as required
  • Strong communication skills, fluent English, spoken and written is essential. Knowledge of German, French or Italian is an asset.
