[Job 13793 - Google] Senior Cloud Backend Engineer (Security Policies)

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Backend Software engineer to contribute to the migration and test automation of Google Cloud Platform Organization Policies.Development work can take place on open source projects or internal to the customer.This engineer will evaluate policies and requirements. Review all the existing policies and understand their purpose and requirements. Helping with assigning a complexity level for each one.Contribute to a migration plan, including a timeline, milestones, and target productivity metric (e.g., scripts migrated / day).Contribute to the prioritization of policies, usually starting with the most critical ones first.Set up a test environment and define the test automation strategy, creating automated tests for existing and new policies to ensure correctness and accuracy.
Background, skills and experience:
Solid background in Python and Java development;Good experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services or similar Cloud Platforms;Being able to communicate in English (CEFR B2);Have great ability to understand and develop demands with autonomy from few requirements, showing results and progress continuously;Ability to test, investigate, analyze, solve and communicate problems;Propose and discuss solutions, and incorporate received feedback;Being able to automate and optimize development tasks;Enjoy quickly learning (and using) different technologies from those you already know.
Additional experiences:
Have development experience with other languages, for example, Node JS or Go;Have notions on Security Policies theory i.e. (Organization Policy Service (ORG)” and “Common Expression Language (CEL));Have experience on migration policy formats;Hold GCP certifications;Being able to communicate in English (CEFR C1+).
