Role Overview

At Coupang Play, we deal with valuable assets like popular shows and sports games. As a security software developer in the streaming technology team, your role involves safeguarding these content assets against unauthorized access, securing the stream through DRM, and maintaining the security of applications and backend services

What you will do

• Identify vulnerabilities in Coupang Play’s asset management systems and tools and enhance their security measures
• Lead the effort to implement robust DRM measures for streaming, covering both video on demand (VoD) and live sports streaming
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain security features in both streaming applications and streaming backend services
• As a subject matter expert, drive the discussions, documentation, process, and awareness of security

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of professional experiences in security engineering and video streaming engineering
• Experiences with Digital Right Management (DRM) such as Widevine, Fairplay, and PlayReady
• Experiences with video streaming and playback
• Experience in developing software components for authentication and authorization
• Excellent programming skills in one or more of: Javascript, Typescript, Python, Swift, Kotlin, or Go
• Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the AWS cloud platform and cloud security
• Experience with application security such as web security or mobile app security
• Good understanding of cryptography
