Job Description

To help us drive innovation and build functional systems that improve the customer experience, we are looking for an AWS Security Engineer to join our Cloud Solutions Team. You will report to one of our Cloud Solutions Managers.

Main responsibilities:      

• Design, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure solutions using leading public cloud providers. Ensure that security considerations are embedded into the architecture from the outset.
• Design, development and enhancement of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines.
• Automate security testing (e.g., vulnerability scanning, static code analysis) within the deployment pipeline.
• Optimize security configurations based on performance metrics and threat intelligence.
• Developing tools and processes to improve teams and customer experience.
• Documenting products, processes, and tools with high quality.
• Administer user access, role creation, permission management, and the security of cloud resources.
• Supporting software engineers in following the software delivery lifecycle and secure development practices.
• Collaborate with development teams to assess and enhance the security posture of their applications.
• Provide security-related support to internal and external customers across various platforms.
• Maintaining efficient communication with cross-functional teams, acting as a key stakeholder for project decisions.
• Staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud computing and security, providing strategic recommendations.
• Oversee the implementation and administration of logging and monitoring services to safeguard the security and integrity of applications.
• Ensure timely incident detection and response by monitoring security events and anomalies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in AWS security for medium to large-scale applications serving thousands or millions of users.
• Proficiency in AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), as well as expertise in configuring and managing logging, monitoring services, and other essential AWS security features.
• Experience in vulnerability management and hardening of AWS resources.
• Advanced experience with at least two of the following languages: Bash, Python, JavaScript, Go, NodeJS, Java.
• Proficiency in automation with configuration/deployment management tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Proficiency with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with serverless computing and event-driven architectures.
• Demonstrated experience in integrating monitoring and alerting tools, including CloudWatch, and ELK.
• Proven track record of building, optimizing, and scaling CI/CD frameworks and tools, seamlessly integrating them into day-to-day operations.
• Demonstrated experience in configuring, integrating, and managing Jenkins and Bitbucket pipelines and repositories.
• Experience seamlessly integrating DAST and SAST tools into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working in an Agile, DevOps environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and adeptness at troubleshooting complex issues.
• A curious nature and an open-minded approach to exploring innovative solutions.
• Ability to provide outstanding customer service, actively listen, collaborate effectively with colleagues, and earn trust.
• Strong communication skills to work efficiently within cross-functional teams and across departments, both written and verbal.
• Experience with consumer electronics is a plus.
• Cloud certifications and Cloud security certifications are a plus (AWS, Azure)
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree
• Fluent English language skills
