Application Security Engineer

We are looking for a senior level Application Security Engineer to join our Security team. This team is at the forefront of ensuring our tech ecosystem is up to date and secure across all our platforms including our apps.

Overview

This role would involve performing vulnerability testing of M-KOPA mobiles, IoT and automotive devices, diagnosing possible hardware-based and software-based attacks, particularly for Android mobile phones and embedded systems and by extension assisting in forensic analysis of the same.

Collaboration

We aim for autonomy and collaboration within and outside the teams therefore you would be interacting with different stakeholders across the Application Security team, Threat Intelligence team, IT team and 3rd party vendors; verifying tech/apps from vendors that can be used to prevent potential threats from infiltrating our devices.

Remote

This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from whichever location and have a good work life balance.

Expertise

Our expectation is that you would have a working knowledge of the Android operating system, applications and IoT devices. With experience doing penetration testing, vulnerability discovery or having been successful in bug bounty programs.

If you have a Certification in a cybersecurity discipline such as, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) and/or experience in the cyber/application security field then this might just be the right fit for you.
