Job Summary

The Risk and Compliance Specialist is a key role in the facilitation of information security compliance expectations across all of NetApp. This role will be responsible for partnering with NetApp Business Units to communicate, verify, and track internal compliance to NetApp policies and standards, industry standard requirements, external certification controls, and customer expected controls.  The Risk and Compliance Specialist will support creating/reviewing documentation, reporting, developing compliance controls, and identifying risks in a system of record.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate control testing discussions (related to ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, CIS benchmarks, etc.) with leaders and communicate status
  • Utilize a Governance, Risk, and Compliance Tool to manage NetApp controls that align to industry standards
  • Assists the Sales department in the completion of customer questionnaires related the Risk and Compliance Program Manager’s line of business
  • Communicates with other business units and peers to determine appropriately scope and test control statements
  • Collaborates with internal business units to provide evidence and/or information for internal and external audits
  • Identifies, plans, tracks, and coordinates risk remediation according to internal risk frameworks

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience or familiarity with various compliance and regulatory areas (e. g. GDPR, DFARS/NIST 800-171, ISO27001)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn and understand technical control implementation


Preferred Qualifications

  • Information security related training or certifications such as CISSP or CRISC
  • Project management experience
  • Experience performing information security audits or risk assessments
  • Familiarity with security audit or risk management processes

Education

0-3 years of relevant experience

The base salary hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is [$Hiring Range Min] – [$Hiring Range Max].
