Cyber Security Officer (5+year)

 

Location - Mumbai, India

 

Job Purpose

 

The Security Officer will be a key player in the execution of our cybersecurity strategy under the guidance of the CISO. This India-based, internationally focused position involves comprehensive responsibilities, including regular security assessments, coordination with IT and other departments, and managing day-to-day security operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. Cybersecurity Strategy Implementation:

• Assist the CISO in deploying and managing the cybersecurity strategy across the group.
• Conduct and oversee regular security assessments and audits.

1. Security Coordination:

• Collaborate with the IT departments to implement security measures.
• Monitor the implementation of security projects and initiatives.

1. Security Operations Management:

• Manage daily security operations, including monitoring, threat hunting, and vulnerability management in close collaboration with the SOC team.
• Respond to and mitigate security incidents, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal impact.

1. Training and Awareness:

• Assess and address security training needs across the international spectrum.
• Implement and evaluate security awareness programs globally.
• Define metrics and report on training effectiveness.

1. Reporting and Communication:

• Regularly report to the CISO on security metrics, incidents, and areas for improvement.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels within the organization.

1. Policy Management:

• Develop and manage information security policies applicable across our global operations.
• Ensure group-wide adherence to compliance and regulatory standards.

1. Risk Management:

• Support global risk identification and mitigation strategies.
• Implement risk management processes relevant to various international operations.

 

Education & Experience

 

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 5 years' experience in information security, preferably in an international context.

 

Background, Skills and Competencies

 

• Competence in security assessments, Audits, and operations management.
• Knowledge of ISO27001; ISO27001 Lead Implementer certification is highly valued.
• Additional certifications such as CISSP, CISM are advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
