Job Description Summary

Do you have experience in risk management, security engineering, and compliance for federal civil agencies? If so, you might be the ideal candidate for the Cybersecurity Technical Consultant role at Maximus, a global leader in government services.As a Cybersecurity Technical Consultant, you will work with a team of experts to provide end-to-end cybersecurity services for federal civil clients, such as the Department of Energy, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Department of Health and Human Services. You will apply your technical skills and knowledge to assess, design, implement, and maintain secure and resilient systems and networks that support the client’s mission objectives. You will also advise the client on best practices, standards, and regulations for cybersecurity, such as NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, or a related field• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.• 7+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity consulting, engineering, or operations for federal civil agencies• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and guidelines, such as NIST SP 800 series, FIPS, RMF, and CSF• Experience in performing security assessments, audits, and reviews using various tools and methodologies, such as NIST SP 800-53A, NIST SP 800-115, and NIST SP 800-171• Experience in designing and implementing security solutions, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, SOAR, encryption, VPN, PKI, and cloud security• Experience in conducting vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and incident response using various tools and techniques, such as Nessus, Metasploit, Wireshark, and Splunk• Experience in developing and maintaining security documentation, such as SSP, SAR, POA&M, and SOP• Experience in providing security training and awareness to stakeholders and end-users• Experience in working with cross-functional teams and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical audiences• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.• Professional certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CCNA Security, PMP, are preferred#techjobs #clearance

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
