Position Specific Description

The Cybersecurity Manager will be responsible for all managing all aspects of NextEra Analytics cybersecurity efforts to ensure the highest levels of security are maintained for company systems and products.  Individual will work with all parts of the organization to achieve this goal.  Close interaction with the product engineering team to help build security into NextEra Analytics products will also be required.  Additionally, individual will evaluate tools and services to expand security coverage.  Experience with managing cybersecurity in public cloud compute environments is a requirement.  Individual should be able to efficiently report security status to the leadership team during normal operations and during active incident response situations.

Primary Job Functions Include:

•    Reviewing and updating NextEra Analytics (NEA) cybersecurity policies and procedures on regular basis
•    Ongoing validation that cybersecurity policies and procedures are properly implemented
•    Managing vulnerability scan process for all cloud and on-prem infrastructure
•    Managing NEA 3rd party vendor cyber risk assessment process
•    Responding to customer and partner cybersecurity inquiries
•    Coordinating penetration testing events
•    Participating in cybersecurity audits
•    Coordination between NEA and NextEra Energy (NEE) cybersecurity teams
•    Leading cybersecurity incident response tabletop exercises
•    Making recommendations for new tools to improve overall cybersecurity profile
•    Working with product development teams to minimize vulnerabilities in NEA
•    Staying current with relevant cybersecurity laws and legislation

Required Qualifications

•    High School Grad / GED
•    Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
•    Experience: 8+years
•    Experience: 5+ years of work focused on cybersecurity
•    Supervisor/Management Experience: 2+ years
 

Job Overview

Individuals will be accountable for the reliability, performance, security, and continuity of IT systems and supported business processes.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership, influence, vision, and direction to the organization to contribute to achieving the company's goals
  •  Works with IT leaders to develop overall IT strategy in alignment with business strategy
  • Oversees value stream by focusing on cost and risks of technology portfolio to meet business needs
  • Supports and fosters innovative technologies to deliver new ideas that enable business transformation
  • Ensures high levels of ongoing system and application performance in production environments
  • Oversees development of processes and tools to automate code releases from development to operations (DevOps)
  • Attracts, develops and retains a high-performing and diverse team
  • Establishes and drives technology roadmaps that align with current and future business needs
  • Manages third party technical and outsourcing relationships to deliver project and operational support objectives
  • Ensures technology processes are conducted in line with applicable standards and company policies
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
