Job Summary/Purpose

The primary responsibility of this role is execution and implementation of a framework to support the organization’s practices in allcompliance directives required by Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and the NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards. In thisrole you will work to ensure that the IS risks are identified and mitigated. This position provides support to ensure Entergy adapts toemerging regulations and risks while working to continually improve the security organization’s regulatory compliance posture. Thisteam is critical to ensure Information Security complies with all applicable federal, state and local regulatory requirements. Theculmination of the internship will require a report and presentation to senior management.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented, a problem solver, and is interested in advancing their career by being part of a high performingteam and gaining real-life work experiences. This is a hybrid position.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist in the documentation of IS processes and procedures into process flows

Apply a risk-based approach to determine areas of weakness using frameworks such as COBIT and NIST

Assist in the review and performance of control testing including evidentiary review

Assist with compliance assessments of Entergy policies and regulatory requirements across the various IS groups

Assist with periodic compliance assessments

Maintain awareness of changing regulatory requirements

Compile Change Management reporting, Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and Key Risk Indicators (KRI) information

Integrate data from multiple sources to draw conclusions regarding Entergy’s regulatory compliance

Competently interface with other groups and Business Units

Deliver process excellence on maintaining a strong culture of regulatory compliance at Entergy

 

Desired Qualifications

Self-driven, self-motivated

Knowledge of compliance frameworks

Basic knowledge of information security

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, Visio, etc.)

Demonstration of knowledge via security compliance related internships, classes or projects

 

Minimum Education required of the position:

Pursing undergraduate or master’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), CyberSecurity or similar technical field preferred; a concentration in audit and compliance strongly preferred

GPA 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher

Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
