Internship Program Overview  

At ServiceNow, we’re looking for students who want to learn, grow, and take a giant step early in their careers, all while making a giant impact. We offer 12-week summer internship opportunities across various business functions.   

Interns will participate in executive speaker series, career development workshops, philanthropic efforts, and team-building activities. Additionally, interns will have access to online learnings and a dedicated Summer Coach to further grow their careers with us.

In this unique role, you will:

    • Assist in performing walkthroughs and risk assessments with process owners and documenting and assessing results to ensure adequate control design and identification of "key" controls.
    • Assist with documentation and management of the risk repository.
    • Assist in working with process owners to ensure controls are operating effectively and evidenced appropriately. 
    • Assist in the documentation and system logging of control assessment gaps.
    • Help with documentation of controls, and execution of internal control testing.
    • Coordinate the quarterly SOX certification process
    • Establish a process to create and maintain process flowchart from critical compliance and operational processes.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business, Finance or related field

    • Graduation date must not be before December 2024

  • Strong proficiency with synthesizing large data sets with Excel and other BI tools  

  • Desire to learn IT Audit and IT Compliance Standards and Frameworks

  • Some experience in compliance or risk management, is a plus  

  • Effective communicator with ability to present ideas to leadership   

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi task 

  • Proven ability to work independently and drive projects to completion 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, and PowerPoint, and aptitude to learn and utilize other technology 

  • Excellent verbal and written skills 

  • Experience working with and partnering with cross-functional and cross-border teams on projects and initiatives, to include a remote team 

  • High integrity to handle sensitive and confidential data 

For positions in the Bay Area, we offer a base pay of $31.39/hour, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs (subject to eligibility requirements). Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
