Research Associate (Computer Science/Cyber Security)

The School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE)  invites applications for the position of Research Associate. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Employing automated methods for gathering and pre-processing data on software vulnerabilities.

• Designing and developing a ranking system based on AI model to calibrate the severity and the feasibility of fixing of vulnerabilities in the open-source software project.

• Building a cross-scope conflict remediation tool to effectively manage open-source software dependencies in a software project.

• Developing a remediation algorithm to integrate the information gathered in previous steps and calculate optimal solutions for the entire open-source software project.

• Writing high-quality research papers based on research results.

Job Requirements: 

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or Cyber Security or other related areas.

• Experience on data analysis, and software vulnerability reproduction (Proof of Concept).

• Familiar with optimization algorithms, such as SMT, and information retrieval techniques, including TF-iDF, N-gram calculation.

• Proficient in programming for AI model fine-tuning and algorithm implementations.

• Good communication and writing skills.
