The Role

Main responsibilities will include; (but not limited to):
Security Visionary
- Develop and implement a comprehensive security program that safeguards our data, systems, and users.
- Lead the team in continuous risk assessment and vulnerability management, proactively identifying and mitigating threats.
- Stay ahead of the curve by researching and implementing emerging security technologies and best practices.
- Foster a culture of security consciousness throughout the organisation, raising awareness and driving secure practices.
Team Champion-
- Lead a security team with diverse skills and experiences, and create a high performing culture.
- Create a culture of open communication and feedback, where everyone feels comfortable raising concerns and sharing ideas.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for your team, helping them grow and learn new skills.
- Delegate effectively and empower your team members to take ownership of their work.
- Recognise and reward team achievements, fostering a sense of value and appreciation.
Requirements

- Experience in the fintech or financial services industry.
- Proven track record of successfully building and leading security teams.
- Expertise in cloud security, threat intelligence, and incident response.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Previous experience in building and leading security teams in fast-paced startups or scale-ups.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and retain top talent in a competitive market.
- Strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics.
- A proactive approach to employee engagement and retention.
