The position of ERP Systems & Security Administrator will be Remote!

Summary
The ERP Systems & Security Administrator provides overall direction and management of a portfolio of enterprise-wide systems, focused around the ERP system, to include security remediation. Provide direction and guidance to a team of both internal and third-party managed services resources while resolving complex, escalated issues. Develop a roadmap and business goals for enhancements and business usage as well as manage implementations and upgrades with internal resources and third-party managed services partners.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the day-to-day deliverables for portfolio of systems/databases managed via a team of third-party managed services resources
  • Manage system security tickets and work with internal resources and third-party managed services partners to resolve in a timely manner
  • Manage system enhancement and implementation projects; develops plans, milestones, timelines, etc.
  • Delegate work to available third-party resources, and communicate to various users and stakeholders across the enterprise
  • Develop roadmaps to design and deliver an optimal environment and apply best practices
  • Understand new technologies and capabilities that meet the needs of enterprise and determine the best solutions given a number of complex factors including cost, resources, infrastructure, etc.
  • Ensure control methods are in place and completed on time; includes quarterly assessments
  • Research and maintain specialized knowledge to keep current in assigned technical areas and share knowledge as applicable
  • Troubleshoot and resolve high level problems, including customer questions and issues
  • Participate in projects of various complexity and length with the ability to successfully manage projects as technical lead on small to medium sized projects
  • Evaluate new technology or enhanced technology and determines if and how to integrate into the Enterprise portfolio of systems / databases
  • Other duties may be assigned

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent    in Computer Science or related degree
  • 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in information technology
  • Experience with JDE E1 Install, Setup, Configuration, and package builds
  • Experience with JDE E1 Modernization aspects - Deployment advancements in 9.2, Orchestrator/AIS roll-out
  • Experience in a high-volume, complex JDE E1 environment
  • ASU/ESU/Release/Patch/PoC/Upgrades/Service packs management experience
  • Proficient level Unix/AIX/Linux experience required
  • JDE monitoring, troubleshooting/problem solving techniques experience
  • Experience with Oracle WebLogic patching
  • Experience with updating Oracle Java
  • Experience working with third-party managed service resources
  • Expert in database and system administration including Oracle and MS SQL Server experience, performance tuning preferred


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of the JD Edwards E1 Technical Foundation tools and CNC functionality, 9.2.x version
  • JDE E1 OMW, OCM skills
  • Proficient at project management, data analysis & metric development, Microsoft Office, shell scripting and operating systems
  • Requires limited guidance from management; develops own work plans from business goals and IT strategy and develops recommendations on solutions for business and functional goals
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
  • A limited understanding of the business needs as it relates to the systems/databases managed
  • A deep understanding of the overall IT strategy and how the systems/databases managed fit into the strategy
