We are growing rapidly and are looking for candidates with a background in performing security assessments on highly complex cloud-based systems in support of FedRAMP and NIST-based frameworks to support our growing customer base.
The Cyber Readiness Consultant will work as part of a team evaluating the security and compliance of client firms against regulatory and industry requirements and standards, as well as security best practices. This role will have a strong understanding of compliance requirements in order to develop reports and documentation for clients. They will also provide quality control and peer review to other members of the team. 
The Cyber Readiness Consultant must be able to conduct gap assessments of cloud service providers and draft system documentation in support of FedRAMP and other compliance frameworks.
This role will specialize in advising and assessing organizations progressing through FedRAMP via gap assessments and readiness assessment projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a consultant for cloud service providers preparing for FedRAMP authorization 
  • Work closely with all members of the team supporting one or all of the following work activities 
  • Interview client stakeholders to ascertain implementation of NIST 800-53 controls 
  • Draft detailed reports including deficiency findings in relation to FedRAMP policies 
  • Visualize system architectures via authorization boundary and data flow diagrams 
  • Advise/assess clients on FedRAMP and DoD requirements including potential solutions via leveraged IaaS, PaaS, external SaaS solutions and internal tooling or system configurations 
  • Support monthly activities related to FedRAMP Continuous Monitoring programs such as development of POA&Ms, Deviation Requests, and System Inventory 
  • Develop technical content for website updates, whitepapers, and blog posts that can be used both internally and by our clients to assist them in evaluating/building out their security programs 
  • Collaborate with delivery team members to drive customer satisfaction and meet project deliverables  
  • Ensure quality products and services are delivered on time and within allotted hours 
  • Establish and maintain positive collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders 
  • Continuous professional development in pursuing industry specific certifications (must be willing to meet FedRAMP certification requirements as outlined by A2LA) 
  • Manage priorities, tasks, and assigned hours on projects In coordination with project manager. to achieve delivery utilization targets 
  • Peer reviews and provides feedback for junior or new employees.
  • This is a customer facing role. Travel is expected to be limited in nature; however, you may be required to travel to client locations and deliver professional services.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent job experience 
  • 3+ years of professional services experience 
  • 2+ year of FedRAMP experience 
  • Hands-on experience developing FedRAMP documentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 product suite 
  • Strong technical acumen with regards to cloud security 
  • Looking to achieve AWS Solutions Architect – Associate, Azure Administrator Associate

  • Familiarity with commonly used network architecture, network devices/services, development platforms, and software suites
  • Comfortable supporting fast-paced team environments
  • Familiarity of testing in Cloud environments
