Responsibilities

Paid Internships at Production Resource Group are educational work experiences for individuals who wish to explore a career with PRG and/or develop hands-on knowledge and skill in the business of entertainment technology. PRG provides structured yet flexible programs where interns rotate through the various functions of a particular discipline, giving them a comprehensive overview of the different aspects of the field.

 

The internship program is 12 weeks. The Summer Program runs approximately *Mid to late May- Beg/Mid-August (*dates may vary) 

  

Each IT Security Intern will: 

  • Gain Project, task management, communication, and documentation skills     
  • Learn Security Incident Response processes including preparation, identification, containment, eradication, and recovery.     
  • Assist with management of security events/alerts raised by the security event tools. Ensure assigned security events/incidents are mitigated by their SLA.      
  • Work directly with SOC team to eradicate security findings, and gain experience working within a SIEM.      
  • Work closely with internal teams to resolve security findings on endpoint systems, infrastructure, and web applications.     
  • Participate in the creation and delivery of Information Security Awareness, Training, and Education program materials.      
  • Assist with phishing simulation & response.      
  • Assist with conducting risk assessments, security audits, vulnerability/penetration tests with commercial tools and techniques.     
  • Carry out research on information security and privacy issues and keeps abreast of the latest technology, industry best practices, and hardening standards to address security exposures and threats.      
  • Assisting with the PRG data classification project, will work with various departments to understand PRG data and processes.    
  • Support the goals of the security team by working on key initiatives as needed.   

Qualifications

We are looking for applicants who are/have: 

  • Passion for gaining experience with Information Security and Risk Management. 
  • Have a deep interest in pursuing a career in security or risk including vulnerability assessment, intrusion/ threat detection, digital investigations, mobile device management, log analysis, identity and access management, monitoring, endpoint security, security compliance and control and security advocacy.     
  • Project, task management, communication, and documentation skills  
  • Knowledge of a variety of security tools and technologies.  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. 
  • Ability to succeed in a team environment. 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks. 
  • May perform other incidental tasks, as needed. 
  • All applicants must be eligible to work in the country where the internship is located. 
  • For internships in the US, students must pass a drug test prior to employment

We are looking for applicants who match ANY of the following: 

  • Working towards or already obtained a bachelor’s a degree with a concentration in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Cyber Security, or Information Technology.      
  • Preferable: Achieved one or more of the following certifications: IT Fundamentals, Network+, A+, Security+     

Physical demands 

  • Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time
