We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our dynamic team as Airport Security Officers at Heathrow Airport. Please note:

·      Due to enhanced background checks, this role is only suitable if you have continuously resided in the UK for the last 3 years.

·      You must also hold a Valid SIA licence.

Courses throughout February, March & April

What We Offer:

  • £12.13 per hour, rising to £12.75 per hour after 12 weeks!
  • Weekly Pay (every Friday)
  • Earliest Start: 04:15 AM
  • Latest Finish: 11:30 PM
  • Shift Pattern: FULL TIME
  • Up to 40 hours per week plus overtime

Responsibilities: Once full trained and deployed in Heathrow Airport

 

  • Conduct thorough security screenings, including the use of state-of-the-art scanning equipment, to detect prohibited items and potential threats.
  • Using equipment and manual search techniques to ensure that no prohibited articles are taken into secure airport areas.
  • Engage in constant vigilance and stay up to date with the latest security procedures and regulations, always ensuring compliance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with their queries, offering guidance, and creating a welcoming and stress-free environment.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with airport staff, airlines, and other security personnel to maintain a cohesive and efficient operation.
  • Handle security incidents and emergency situations with professionalism, remaining calm under pressure and taking appropriate actions to ensure the safety of all.
  • Assist with the implementation of crowd control measures during busy periods, maintaining order and ensuring a smooth flow of passengers.

Additional/Alternative responsibilities when not deployed at Heathrow airport.

  • Must have a valid SIA licence.
  • To provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors.
  • Booking in and out of all Vehicles entering and leaving the site.
  • Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss.
  • To deter theft, whether internal and/or external and other poor working practices.
  • To respond to any on site incident or request for assistance and assume control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Depot Duty Manager
  • To highlight all breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with their queries, offering guidance, and creating a welcoming and stress-free environment.

 


About you:

  • Must be able to work early AND late shifts.
  • A positive, customer-centric attitude with a genuine desire to create a pleasant experience for all airport visitors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and aid in stressful situations.
  • Proven experience in a security or customer service role, preferably in an airport or similar environment.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail to effectively identify potential security risks.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and adhere to strict security protocols.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine security tasks.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends.
  • Must be over 18.
  • Must have continuously resided in the UK for the last 3 consecutive years.
