About the team
The Advanced Attacks team aims to protect our users, financial partners and Stripe from transaction level fraud attacks such as card testing. To achieve this we develop fast and scalable infrastructure, and use ML models to detect and take action on fraud transactions while minimizing false positives to avoid user loss. Our team works cross-functionally with ML Engineers, Data Scientists, Strategists, Operations, product leaders and different payments teams to continuously prevent fraud attacks across different Stripe payment services.
What you’ll do
As a backend engineer, you will design and build platforms and services that are configurable and scalable to handle the most complex transaction fraud attacks across the world. You will partner with many functions at Stripe, including ML Engineers, Data Scientists, Strategists and product leaders. You will have an opportunity to work on infrastructure/platform systems, leverage ML to solve complex engineering problems on the chargepath and produce direct user-facing business impact.
