Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Enterprise Management Operations Center (EMOC)/Security Operations (SecOps) Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/ Transportation Security Administration (TSA) customer.  This individual will provide leadership and technical expertise to support a 24x7 operations of engineers, Incident Management, Event Management, Request Fulfillment, ITSM Queue Management, Bridge Management actions for hybrid government infrastructure. 

 

This position requires 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays.

 

 

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide technical expertise to support operations of 24x7 Incident Management, Event Management, Security Management, Request Fulfillment, ITSM Queue Management, actions for hybrid government infrastructure.
  • Monitoring, managing and triaging IT infrastructure and security systems to ensure operation, reporting of anomalies, call-out of engineering staff in coordination with Incident and Shift Managers and resolution of issues with physical and virtual datacenter environment.
  • Maintaining knowledge and communicate status of the customer environments to include providing reports and updates as needed. Support security requests from agency security operations center.
  • Providing support in the operations of a 24x7 Tier 2 monitoring and reporting of a government IT Infrastructure.
  • Incident Management, Event Management, Request Fulfillment, ITSM Queue Management, Bridge Management, and networking, cloud, and datacenter operations.
  • Monitoring, managing and triaging datacenter systems to ensure operation, reporting of anomalies, call-out of Tier 3 staff in coordination with Incident Manager and resolution of issues with physical and virtual datacenter environment.
  • Maintaining knowledge and communicate status of the network, cloud, and datacenter environments.
  • Executing the cyber security monitoring and response methodology in accordance with agency infrastructure program requirements.
  • Coordinate with Cyber SOC to provide Cyber Security Monitoring and Response.
  • Investigate network device and information security incidents to determine root cause and remediation efforts.
  • Coordinate with Cyber SOC to provide Cyber Security Monitoring and Response.
  • Implement simple security related requests, such as URL blocks, updating whitelists, etc.
  • Preparing documentation and briefings for leadership in a concise and effective manner.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • U.S. Citizenship and must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ experience or Master’s degree and 0 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 6 years relevant experience. 
  • Experience with triage datacenter incidents and network management.
  • Active Directory account, server management and monitoring experience.
  • Server Administration experience: (Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Linux (RHEL), SharePoint).
  • Experience with MS SCOM and Solarwinds.
  • Experience with enterprise/datacenter Service Desk Operations.
  • COTS applications (Security Automation & Orchestration platforms, Splunk, etc.) understanding.
  • Ability to identify, report, and react to security events.
  • Must be able to work 12 hour shifts including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Security+ or equivalent certification.
  • AWS or Azure fundamentals certification or experience.
  • Networking certification (Network+, Cisco CCNA).
  • Microsoft certifications in SCOM, Windows Server 2016 or later.
  • A+ Certification.
  • Service management tool: Remedy.

Target Salary Range

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
