We are currently seeking a SOC Engineer to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

The Security Operations Center (SOC) Security Specialist is a member of a team who proactively manages IT security on behalf of customers to reduce the impact of security incidents and system compromises. The successful candidate will provide security monitoring, event analysis, and countermeasure proposals. This position requires shift work in a 24/7/365 environment therefore after-hours work may be required.
Role Responsibilities:
•    Publish Provider’s event handling process, incorporating updates at least once per year
•    Work with Client to update and publish a Security Event Escalation Procedure to be utilized by Provider and Client
•    Monitor the devices identified and mutually agreed by the parties in writing during the transition phase for the Services for suspicious and malicious activities using client provided Security Monitoring tool
•    Perform monitoring of security events to identify Alerts (events of interest) based on configured correlation rules
•    Perform an initial triage of Security Alerts as per defined procedures
•    Analyze Security Alerts to determine if it is a False Positive or False Negative
•    Classify true positive Security Alert as a verified incident and determine the priority of Verified Security Incidents as per defined process
•    Gather and retain evidence of Verified Security Incidents for future investigation and help analyze Verified Security Incidents at the request of
•    Client or Client-directed third parties
•    Create security Incident tickets and assign to appropriate resolver groups as per defined matrix
•    Monitor and report to client on log sources that stop sending log data to the Security Monitoring tool
•    Track progress of open Security tickets 
•    Report on Security Incident statistics, trends, and lessons learned on a regular basis
