About the job

Red Hat's Hybrid Cloud Experience business unit is seeking an experienced product manager to deliver cross-portfolio security offerings and adapt Red Hat solutions to continuous changes in the security landscape and legal requirements. You will design our portfolio's security approach and influence offerings, SLAs and engineering processes. Clear and consistent communication will be critical to ensure alignment across business units.  You will synthesize inputs from customers and key business stakeholders to generate integrated roadmaps, lead release planning, and continually engage with development teams.  You will drive consistency and continuity within our portfolio experience and act as a representative of the overall product team, inspiring confidence and excitement among customers, internal stakeholders and the broader product team.

What you will do

  • Develop, maintain and communicate a strategic roadmap and delivery plan in support of solving market and customer problems using competitive analysis
  • Drive roadmap and program execution, working directly with product and engineering teams across the product portfolio
  • Help define Red Hat portfolio security vision, features, goals and measurable business outcomes
  • Define requirements to be funneled into Red Hat portfolio security offerings, ensuring product governance
  • Maintain tight alignment with enterprise security standards, changing security market conditions and compliance framework changes that affect security offering delivery
  • Perform product backlog management across multiple business units
  • Collaborate with Legal team on contracts, terms, SLAs, penalties, etc.
  • Define and use metrics/KPIs to measure success and health of products and impact of business outcomes
  • Evangelize product direction to customers, engineering, field and other product teams

What you will bring

  • 2+ years of business or technical product management, product marketing or development experience in enterprise software
  • 2+ years of experience in IT infrastructure software including Linux and other operating systems, virtualization and container technologies
  • 2+ years of enterprise security experience
  • Demonstrated track record of influencing others without having direct authority over them; ability to cultivate team flexibility under changing conditions
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to author blogs, develop and deliver presentations, and function as a product spokesperson
  • Experience applying the concepts and standards of security frameworks such as FIPS, Common Criteria, SOC, ISO, HIPAA, IRAP, ISMAP, FedRAMP, or FISMA to technology solutions, products or services
  • Experience with agile environments, methodologies and best practices 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for  planning meetings, customer engagements, and conferences

  • Pragmatic Marketing, Scrum Alliance, or AIPMM (Association of International Product Marketing & Management)
  • Industry certification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)

The salary range for this position in Raleigh, NC is typically $111,260 - $183,582. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications. This position may be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity.
