Mellon Technologies SA, seeks to hire a Junior/Mid Information Security Engineer

The Junior/Mid Information Security Officer is responsible for a dedicated focus on information security and related issues and for the improvement of the provision of service, assurance, and governance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain compliance with the Payment Card Industry Security Standards
• Develop, implement, and maintain business security policies, procedures, and standards and perform regular risk assessments
• Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities
• Coordinate and participate in security audits and assessments related to PCI security standards
• Develop and deliver security awareness programs to educate employees upon the PCI security standards
• Design and develop software to meet business objectives
• Create and maintain test plans, documentation, and automated testing routines for technical changes
• Assist in providing estimates for software development work
• Support the customers with the already implemented SW solutions
• Install, Configure, Parameterize and Support encryption devices
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, trends, and threats

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / IT Security / STEM
• Master’s degree in IT Security will be considered as a plus
• Fluency in the English language (oral and written)
• Familiar with developing SW solution in VB, Python and / or C#
• Familiar with SQL (Microsoft SQL Server, Maria DB, etc.)
• Technical knowledge of database and operating system security
• Familiarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols
• Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
• The ability to work within a regulatory framework and to articulate its potential as a tool for continuous improvement
• Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Work well in teams
• Be methodical with good problem-solving capabilities
• Experience as a system security engineer or information security engineer will be considered as a plus
• An understanding of best practice within Information Security and risk management including standards such as ISO/IEC 27001 and PCI legislation and regulations will be considered as a plus
