General Purpose of Job

As a Consultant, Bank Relationship Management, you will work with Lincoln’s banking partners to identify, evaluate, and execute new treasury solutions that enhance Lincoln’s product offerings and/or enterprise treasury services.  Additionally, you will participate in the design and execution of Lincoln’s bank strategy with the objective of managing relationship dynamics and ensuring ongoing availability of products and services from banking partners.  You will be a resource for internal partners as they evaluate new treasury services while also building and enhancing internal relationships to better understand the needs of Lincoln’s business units. 

What you'll be doing

•    Provide support for the design, execution, and ongoing maintenance of Lincoln’s enterprise bank relationship strategy
•    Assist in maintaining effective relationships with commercial banks, treasury service providers, and internal customers
•    Maintain knowledge on current and emerging banking developments and assess impacts; collaborate with management to incorporate new trends and developments into current and future solutions and strategy
•    Recommend bank account structures and flow of funds for the effective management of cash; assist authorized signers to open bank accounts, lower funding costs, improve cash flow, and increase operational efficiency
•    Make recommendations on treasury services including payment processing, receipt & disbursement systems/applications, vendor banking system, bank account management system and other applicable systems; champion recommendations with internal clients to support enterprise change management objectives
•    Assist in review of agreements/contracts and pricing/service fees; participate in requests for proposals involving Treasury-related services
•    Provide treasury and banking information to LFG product teams to support development of industry-leading products; assist with promoting Treasury Operations services and systems to LFG product teams by providing consultative advice and services
•    Perform more complex treasury activities including (but not limited to) optimizing cash balances to meet enterprise needs, participating in strategic conversations around banking relationships to ensure Lincoln maximizes value for spend, and preparing quantitative scorecards to analyze bank performance
•    Work with Director to act as liaison between Finance Operations and internal/external providers with review of new or expanded treasury services.
•    May participate in the development, planning, and delivery of educational seminars/workshops related to treasury account services and products for Finance staff, internal customers, and external banking partners
•    Prepare ad hoc reports, analysis, and research as needed 
•    Travel Amount: up to 10%

What we’re looking for

•    4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
•    3 - 5+ Years in Treasury and/or Finance that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position 
•    Prior experience working with or at commercial or investment banks highly valued
•    Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. management, peers and colleagues) and external partners; proven ability to develop collaborative approaches
•    Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend processes improvements
•    Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail; demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style; ability to work with others in a team environment
•    Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information
•    Ability to find common ground and gain collaboration among management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Pay Range: $67,000 - $120,700 

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
